Please join us on Saturday, December 7, 2019, for a special Open House at White Lotus Gallery in Eugene, Oregon. My latest work, illustrated in a new book published by Blurb, Inc., is being presented along with jewelry by Suzanne Linquist and silk scarves by Mihara Shibori. Open House hours are 11 AM to 3 PM.
Join us if you can for tomorrow’s Open House in Eugene. This event highlights new work by me and two other gallery artists, Suzanne Linquist and Mihara Shibori. We will be meeting and greeting between 11 AM and 3 PM and speaking about our work, too. Our local newspaper, the Register Guard, included a feature about this event in yesterday’s Arts section.
I have published a new book through Blurb that documents all of my new work at White Lotus and at Cha-ya, my latest venue, located in Monterey, California. The book is available for free download as an e-book. Enjoy the book!
Max Nixon inspired me to become a metalsmith and a jewelry artist. That was back in 1992 when he was artist-in-residence at the University of Oregon’s Craft Center. Today, eighteen years after his death, we are finally paying homage to him as a teacher, colleague, and friend, in the exhibit “Max Nixon Legacy Metalwork” at White Lotus Gallery, 767 Willamette Street, in Eugene, Oregon. The show opens tomorrow, Saturday, October 27, 2018.
At the time of his death, Max’s “legacy metalwork” — pieces he held on to representing many years of creativity in a variety of materials and techniques, and those he made for his beloved wife Hattie Mae — are on display and being offered for purchase. The exhibit runs until November 27, 2018. See the illustrated catalog at Blurb.com. Print copies are available at the gallery.
Thank you, Max Nixon, for your inspiration, power of persuasion, and boundless patience!
A new collection of wearable art jewelry will be featured on Saturday, June 30, at White Lotus Gallery in Eugene, Oregon, 11am to 3pm, during the gallery’s Summer 2018 Open House. To see what’s new, have a look at the latest clsjewelry catalog available at Blurb. A preview of the entire book is free: http://www.blurb.com/b/8807293-clsjewelry-the-summer-2018-collections
Hope to see you there!
It’s here, ready to give you a preview of the new jewelry that will be showcased at the White Lotus Gallery’s Winter 2017 Open House on Saturday, December 2, 11 AM until 3 PM. I hope you enjoy seeing what’s new. Your comments are always appreciated — and seeing you in person at the gallery would be even better. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement!
Join us on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at White Lotus Gallery in Eugene for the Winter 2017 Open House. My latest jewelry creations and inspirations will be there as we gather for some holiday cheer.
Another event, Small Business Saturday, will be happening at Cozy, Eugene’s newest yarn emporium across from the 5th Street Public Market, on Saturday, November 25. My Re~Wear pins will be featured. These are fiber fasteners or embellishments made from old knitting needles and various beads, yarns, fabrics, and bling. They are perfect for securing a shawl or scarf or to add some pizzazz to a lapel or hat. They are ideal stocking stuffers for all crafters and fiber artists.
Happy Holidays to all!!
“Follow the Line” is the theme of my new collection at White Lotus Gallery in Eugene, Oregon. We will celebrate with an open house reception on Saturday, July 8, 2017, from 11AM until 3PM.
For a peek at my latest creations, see my new book “The Summer Collections 2017” published by Blurb. If you are able to attend the open house, I look forward to seeing you!
Did you know that I regularly publish an ad for clsjewelry – Christine L. Sundt Fine Jewelry Design in Eugene Magazine? It’s a great “lifestyle” magazine for our area and it’s helped me showcase my work especially to visitors. You can find a copy of Eugene Magazine in just about every local hotel — and in most waiting rooms.
The next issue will be Summer 2017. Here’s a preview of my new ad:
Re~Wear is my brand for accessory items that are part jewelry and part wearable art. They are all handmade, one-of-a-kind creations that enhance and expand your wardrobe with style and pizazz.
You can now find these at my recently reopened SundtStudios Etsy storefront. A “shawl pin” collection with 16 new items has just been launched.
My jewelry collections – clsjewelry – Christine L. Sundt Fine Jewelry Design – will continue to be offered exclusively through galleries, currently White Lotus Gallery (Eugene), The Island Gallery (Bainbridge Island), and Ginko Gallery & Studio (Oberlin).
After several years, anything gets old. So, too, my former website.
Today I launched a new design for clsjewelry.com, which promises to be a better experience for viewers who prefer to surf the Web with smaller, handheld devices. But I’ll know I’ve been successful only if I hear from you!
Leave me a note and tell me what you think.
